Synopsis: We give answers to commonly asked questions

What is CMC?

CMC (Carboxymethyl cellulose) is a synthetic substitute to gum tragacanth and is also known as Sugarcel or Tylo powder, and is used in a very similar way. When added to sugarpaste to make modelling paste, CMC is often quicker acting than gum tragacanth, so the modelling paste can be used straight away.
